Sampling Rate Optimization and Execution Time Analysis for Two-Degrees-of-Freedom Control Systems

The current journal paper proposes an end-to-end analysis for the numerical implementation of a two-degrees-of-freedom (2DOF) control structure, starting from sampling rate selection mechanism via quasi-optimal manner, along with estimation worst-case execution time (WCET) specified controller. For selection, classical Shannon–Nyquist theorem is replaced by optimization problem that encompasses trade-off between fidelity controllers’ representation, resulting closed-loop systems, and difficulty controllers. Additionally, WCET can be seen as verification step before automatic code generation, computational model being provided. proposed infinite-impulse response (IIR) finite-impulse (FIR) filter models controller implementation, additional relevant phenomena discussed, such saturation, signal scaling anti-windup techniques. All results will illustrated on DC motor benchmark problem.
